Crafting When We Can Challenges #17 - Sketch + DT call

I can't believe it's time for another challenge over at CWWCC.  The projects people are putting are fabulous and always give me loads of inspiration.

The Challenge this fortnight is a sketch by Ang our team leader.

Our generous Sponsor is

We were able to choose our own stamps so I chose Lil Fashionette - 60's Ivy.  My Daughter is in a musical theatre group and at the end of May they are doing a musical review and one of the sections is 'The Beatles' and they will be wearing black and white dresses hence the 'break a leg' sentiment.  As usual I made the card up on Craftartist using  papers from Creative Cottage (no longer around) I have made these and the embellishments into a digikit.  The ribbons and embellishements I made using the shapes button on CA.  I then made up my card onto a 6" x 6" page so I knew they fit.  The card was then split into it's components and printed out so I could then layer them back together onto a 6 x 6 base card.  The image was coloured in with a black and yellow promarker and white inkssential pen then popped up on 3d foam as was the sentiment.

Now all you have to do is hop over to the CWWCC and enter your wonderful creations.  We are also looking for some new DT members so if you're interested put DT after your name.

CWWCC 16 card - The Original

Here is the card I was going to post originally as my DT card for the Crafting When We Can Challenge ~ Just the two of us.  I made this card using CraftArtist.  I put both images together  on the background paper, I digitally cut out the cupcake to make the row of cupcakes down the side then I printed it out so I could colour the images in with my Copics and Promarkers.  The two stopper cupcakes are just bigger ones of the border but this time I have cut them out and mounted them on 3d foam then layered them on top of a piece of ribbon.

The beautiful images are by Angelique of Sliekje digi Stamps,  Angelique is a very talented and generous artist who shares her 'scribbles' with the crafting world for free.  If you hop over she has just posed her 150th image and I have every image she has posted.  These are my go to images  if I need to make a card quickly because I know I will find an image that perfectly fits the bill.

a closer look at the top, doesn't the drop shadow give it real depth.
I made up the sentiments on this card.  I really like the one on the inside, the gems on the mat are real and layered on 3d foam as are the cupcake stoppers.

Hope you've enjoyed my card and it would be wonderful if you could hop over and show us your wonderful work on the Challenge blog

Crafting When We Can Challenges #16 - Just the two of us

The challenge for the next two weeks over at CWWCC is Just the two of us.  You must use 2 images on your project.

Our Sponsor this challenge is the wonderful

They are offering a surprise to the winner

I have used a scrap page I made in the CraftArtist program.  It is of my son, last year, standing next to 'Sir Haydn' one of the engines on the Tal-y-Llyn Railway.  We had an hours drive to get there from where we were staying but we couldn't pass up the chance to go on the engines that inspired the Thomas the Tank Engine stories.  It was these stories which started my son on his love of reading.  We have books, comic and Ertl engines, plates etc by the bucket load, we even have a signed copy of a story written by Rev Awdry's son Christopher.

The papers are from Pascale's free paper challenge, the metal cogs are from Dezinaworld, June is now offering her collage sheets free, all you have to do is send her an e-mail stating which you want and she will send it to you.  There is also a button if you wish to make a donation.

As you have to have 2 images on your project and the card I was originally going to post will have to wait until I've checked something with the provided of the image this page will have to do.

Hop over to the Crafting When We Can Challenges blog and leave your wonderful creation with the blue froggy.

Crafting When We Can Challenges #15 - Things with Wings

Phew, thought someone had pinched the formatting for blogger luckily I realised I was in HTML view.  What a wally I am sometimes, my OH is always saying I'm hilarious as I do things like this quite alot.

Anyhoo, onto Challenge 15, this time it's 'Things with Wings' if it's got wings we want to see it.  Butterflies, fairies, unicorns if you follow the simple rules you have a chance of winning the wonderful prize we have on offer.

This challenge our sponsor is the wonderful

I made my card using Bazzill card and Papermania colour block card cut on my CraftRobo.  I ran out of the base card brown and had to substitute with another card but IRL it looks fine.  I have made a hexagon card shape to go with the 'On a Wing and a Prayer 003' image, kindly given to us by our sponsor, he's so cute.  I coloured him with Promarkers and used DI on  the card around the image to match with the yellow paper.  I typed up the sentiment and cut it out and popped it and the image layer up on 3d foam.

Sorry for the rubbish photos they were took on my phone at about 2am last night.  When OH gets back and I can find the camera I will take some better pictures.
The inside
I don't usually finish the inside but it seemed appropriate with this card.

Now you've seen my interpretation of the theme let me see yours, hop over to the challenge and leave your wonderful work with the blue froggy.
